A BILL to extend the time for the county commission of Marion County, West Virginia, to meet as a levying body for the purpose of presenting to the voters of the county an election to extend an additional county levy for parks and recreation equipment and development in Marion County from between the seventh and twenty-eighth days of March until the first Thursday in June, one thousand nine hundred ninety-eight.

Be it enacted by the Legislature of West Virginia:
MARION COUNTY COMMISSION MEETING AS LEVYING BODY EXTENDED.
§1. Extending time for Marion County commission to meet as levying body for election of additional levy for parks and recreation equipment and development.
Notwithstanding the provisions of article eight, chapter eleven of the code of West Virginia, one thousand nine hundred thirty-one, as amended, to the contrary, the county commission of Marion County is hereby authorized to extend the time for its meeting as a levying body and certifying its actions to the state tax commissioner from between the seventh and twenty-eighth days of March until the first Thursday in June, one thousand nine hundred ninety-eight, for the purpose of submitting to the voters of Marion County an additional county levy for parks and recreation equipment and development in Marion County.



NOTE: The purpose of this bill is to extend the time for the county commission of Marion County to meet as a levying body for the purpose of extending an additional levy for parks and recreation equipment and development.
